Lisa has been riding since she was 9 years old. Her father bought her and her sister their first pony to share. She soon started at Pony Club, competing in showjumping and cross country in those early years.

Coming up through the Pony Club, competing in event teams and also gaining her Pony Club 'H' test and her B.H.S.A.I. at 17 years old. Once Lisa had left school, she went to work with show jumpers and event horses as well as competing successfully with her own horse in many disciplines: show jumping, working hunter, side saddle and B.E. eventing.

Lisa progressed to working with hunt and race horses, she moved to America where she programmed and directed a BUNAC Camp in Ohio. Lisa organised the riding section with her team of 10 stable staff and 100 horses and ponies.

She then moved back home to Scotland and started working with a race horse trainer in the borders, becoming an assistant trainer.

 

Finally, moving back to the family home, she branched out on her own to start Champfleurie Stables and has now been teaching here in Scotland for over 32 years. Her passion for race horses is still very much part of her life and she regularly enjoys watching her own horses compete.

 

Qualifications: Accredited British Horse Society Coach, BHS AI, UKCC Level 2, Pony Club B&H Test, Child Protection, First Aid, PVG, Pony Club B Test Examiner & Trainer.
